Very true. I went to college in Massachusetts, and it was so very apparent that I was in the middle of the worst/aggressive drivers on the planet.

Not to turn this into a Massachusetts bashing thread but I visited Boston recently and was really turned off by that city. I think New Haven might even have more culture! Their driving reflects the attitude of people up there.
I think Massachusetts would be the last state in the US I would choose to live.

My wife and I enjoy visiting Massachusetts immensely. I love the Mass. coast, places like Rockport, Gloucester and Salem are just a few of our favorite places. I know the drivers are nuts, but it's a small price to pay to visit a cool state that has a lot to offer.

Well, to be fair to Mass - I personally have grown to like Boston and many places in the state when I used to want nothing to do with the place. Don't get me wrong, I think many of the folks are gritty and the roads are generally more dirty and in disrepair vs CT BUT...
You should take some time to walk the Freedom Trail in Boston and/or make a trip to Deerfield (Up I91) to the Yankee Candle showroom (It's much much more then a showroom). Wander around Salisbury, Salem etc or even head into the Berkshires.
It may change your perspective a bit.

Well, not sure I would want to live there either, but I think Boston is fantastic. Maybe you just had a bad experience?

I was offended at the sarcastic attitude of the people there. I just found them to be rude. I generally hate to paint a picture of a whole population but everyone I met from that area seems to eye roll many times daily. That is one of the personalities I cannot stand.
I was not impressed with their suburbs either. We visited Needham and Framingham and they were just very dull, unfriendly and not too picturesque. The people in MA take the term ''plain Jane'' to another level too. Ladies hair was frizzy and nappy and they still wear bellbottom jeans, something that had a comeback ten years ago and quickly passed!
Give me those aloof Connecticans any day ... just keep the Mass*oles far away! At least people in Connecticut are not degrading and offensively sarcastic.

haha - there's not much of a difference between the attitudes at a Sox game and the attitudes around town anywhere in east central MA.

To give Massachsetts the credit it deserves, it is a great state. Boston is a wonderful and interesting city with a lot to do. I am not sure how you can say it is nothing special. There does appear to be a bit of an arrogance to people though and I hate driving there because the streets make no sense. there are a lot of other places I would rather not live than Mass. JMHO, Jay
