Default wedding reception site in southeastern CT!!!!!

I am hoping to find a ceremony/reception location to book for this coming August! We are on a very limited budget and want to keep the price as low as possible...however, we have about 170 guests...so we know its not going to be cheap. I really want it beach themed so the location would ideally be on a beach! Any ideas BESIDES saybrooks point, watersedge, eolia mansion, ....already looked at those. Thankyou!

Harkness State Park in Waterford is a nice place for weddings. They have a mansion on the grounds and lots of greens plus its on L.I Sound.

Try checking out various bed and breakfast inns in your area that might accommodate larger groups outside under a tent or some homes have ballrooms.

See about having a caterer set you up under tents at the Stonington Point Lighthouse (my wedding site!). See if you can do anything at the Mason's Island Yacht Club. Check out the Casino at Groton Long Point. Will the former Chamard Vineyard in Stonington do anything for you? Good luck!

Does it have to be in southeastern CT? My 2007 wedding was at the Owenego in Branford and they did a FABULOUS job!!

Also, what about the Branford House Mansion--it's on UConn's Avery Point's campus. That's in SE CT.
