You can cross Stratford off the studio list. Another case of big talkers lacking real $$$$$$$ to put it in motion. The same situation has plagued the endless redevelopment proposals for the Shakespeare Theatre. They come to the table without the finances.

Did that all fall through? It would have been a great location right opposite the airport.

Just an update on this. The proposal to develop a studio at the Textron/Avco site is back on, however, the city of Bridgeport has decided to try to impede Stratford's development plan. Shocker, i know.

Typical. People from Stratford always blame all their problems on Bridgeport. Why don't you clean your own backyard first????? Tell your Mayor Miron to stop his father from robbing people in BPT for starters. After that keep all your wanna be thugz out of the malls in Trumbull + Milford. As far as the airport goes.....BPT owns the airport and Stratford keeps playing games so that it can't expand. Stop impeding the progress of the region. All those CEOs in Shelton, Westport, Norwalk, Stamford, Greenwich, + New Haven need to move around the country easily. The airport has been there for about 80 years now....long before any yuppie moved to Lordship. Expand the airport already.

I must agree with you about the airport. The Town of Stratford has resented the airport being there for years and has done a lot to stop expansion of it. It needs to expand to be an asset for the region. JMHO, Jay

I didn't vote for him. His father was a shady character when he was the Democratic Registar. He retired to collect a pension from the town, and then "un-retired" and resumed his position. So, many of us in town feel that he did indeed rob us with that stunt. Also, i'm sure his client base wasn't limited strictly to Bridgeport residents. There were others outside of Bpt. who didn't recieve their monuments.

The cherry on the sundae though, is the lawsuit that the mayor's brother has filed because his personnel file was leaked, prior to his pending offer of employment as a Stratford police officer. I'm sure we'll be robbed again when that plays out in court. On the bright side, at least it was Outback Restaurant that the mayor's sister was convicted of embezzling from, rather than the town of Stratford.

BTW, what's up with Bridgeport's mayor saying that their school system is a failure, and Bridgeport residents should get vouchers for private schooling instead????? Wow.
