Default Seymour's downtown has a coffee shop that serves food.

Seymour's downtown has a coffee shop that serves food. Haven't tried it yet but family members say it is good. Haroula's Coffee Shop, 29 Bank Street.

There was a coffee shop that didn't last by the railroad trestle, not enough parking I guess, they are supposed to be putting a pub there now.

I have a thing with visiting downtowns in CT because they are common in this state compared to the other 49. Only ones I noticed that represented that movie set were Seymour and West Hartford.

I really like Seymour though. Cute town and nice neighborhoods on top of Mountain Rd.
Were these the antique shops that were recommended on the other thread? I am interested in checking this area out as I don't live too far away. Sounds nice!

It's decent. It could use a facelift but the antique shops were neat. They are non-pretentious and quaint. Friendly people too. I went to Sandwich Man diner -great diner food too.

Yes, there are some real nice antique shops in downtown Seymour but I do not really think it looks like "Stars Hollow". JMHO, Jay

Default Collinsville, CT

It's definitely Collinsville, CT (west of Hartford). I lived there growing up and was there when they filmed the pilot right on Main St. and The Green.

Ok, so we tried Haroula's Coffee Shop, 29 Bank Street, Seymour.
Very much a small neighborhood food establishment, like the Gilmore Girls variety. The owner comes out to say hello, & talk to customers. Very friendly. Will likely go again.

I think Seymour is very much like Stars Hollow. Some parts of downtown (near Walgreens and Tony's Diner) are gritty, but once you venture past them it is very quaint, small townish and friendly. I agree that it is quirky, which is what Stars Hollow is too, lol.

I loved that show, it always put me in a good mood. If I could find a cute town like that I might consider staying in CT, but as of now we are considering leaving the state, too high of taxes for a fixed income. Just turned 62 and need to find a better value for our retirement savings than to give to the state for taxes and heating.
