Hartford has a great skyline for its size. It definitely ranks up there as one of the best on that list.

Hartford has always had a great skyline with the Travelers Tower, but now it is really interesting with the flying carpet roof on the Science Center. JMHO, Jay

For a city its size, Hartford's skyline is definitely among the best on that list. I've always liked Richmond's too.

It depends. Coming from East Hartford, it's impressive. Coming from Wethersfield or West Hartford, not so.

Agreed. Funny part is, growing up here I never realized Hartford had much of a skyline until I moved away and came back to visit. Strange.

LOL Awesome description. That building is something beautiful, let me tell you. I can't wait till it's finished.

I used to compare it to Richmond myself, but on my last visit (November 08) the city just fell flat to me. I guess I never really paid attention till that visit to realize what it really was.

So true! Perhaps that's why I never thought much of the skyline as before I moved back I always came in from the West.

I think Hartford's is more full than Richmond's. Their skyline down there is pretty small, but nice and historic. I have friends in that area and it seems like most of their buildings downtown are apartments, kinda like Sarasota, FL. Not many corporate buildings, I don't think.

I completely agree. Richmond is comparable to Hartford. Had the several 700-800 foot towers proposed back in the '80s been built in Hartford, their skyline would be super stunning today.

In the state of CT, Hartford is definitely tops by far. But I do think if Stamford continues its growth--both in population and office towers/condo towers--it could rival Hartford in 10-15 years.

I wish there was a photo of each to compare, I haven't been to most of those cities.
