my grandmother may be moving out here to CT from Ohio as we did last year. We live in Manchester and we would like to get more info on somewhat affordable independent living options for the elderly and disabled, she is only 63 but walks w walker and is on oxygen etc. I see white oaks retirement community here and as well as few others in glastonbury and s, winsdor, anyone know montly prices for independent apartments, feed back etc, she may eventually need assited living too so info on that would be helpful also. Back in ohio they had a place called luther hills by her, that was all indivual aparments all contacted by a main hallway from the back of the apartments that were regular rent didnt include meals or really many services but still connected for socilazation went on a few outings to bank and store and trash and laundry were within the main halls unfortunately she makes just over the limits to move in there, which is why were looking for something around here, thanks
