It's not fair to dance around your observations though. Safe or not, the area on the border at Villa/King's Highway/Tunxis does look haggard and a bit dumpy. My opinion hasn't changed over the last 20 years or so, with regard to that area. Conversely, there are areas in my town, like the Bruce/Barnum/Stratford Ave. confluences that have had issues long-term also. To argue that everything is peaches and cream doesn't, imho, help people with their selection.

The area around Beachside Rd in Westport is beautiful, but very expensive. I would recommend the Compo Beach area, although not directly on the shore, as that can be more congested. Are you looking for a beachy area or a more rural setting? Greenfield Hill and Westport/Fairfield Beaches are polar opposites.

Bridgeport absolutely does not affect Fairfield (just as Stamford does not affect Greenwich or Darien).

Jay,
The area, I believe, is districted to Burr for elementary school and Warde for high school.

That is interesting since that neighborhood is closer to Dwight and Mill Hill than Burr. It is also closer to Ludlowe than Warde. I knew the district lines were strange, that is why I mentioned them all. Thanks, Jay
