Shelton is a very mixed bag. You can go from the ghetto to farm country to nice suburban looking neighborhoods in a matter of 2 minutes. Shelton high school is a diverse bunch, but IMO thats where kids learn the most balance b/t book smarts and life skills. Price ranges b/c of the different areas varies greatly. There are houses in the 2-300k range all the way up to 1.5 million range. I like shelton a lot personally. My best friend in college grew up and lived in shelton her whole life. There are many pretty parts, and there is enough close by that you wont get bored easily. Trumbull mall is only right down the street and there are many childrens sports and activities through the parks and rec and schools.
