Default Kid friendly farms/petting zoos to visit
Could anyone recommend farms or petting zoos that welcome family visit, within 30 minutes of Stratford? We've already been to the ice-cream/farm stand in Trumball, we are looking for something similar.

You might want to visit the Stamford Nature Center - they have a great area called Heckscher Farm which is an active farm with farm animals. You can check out the details at Stamford Museum & Nature Center. It is approximately 26 miles from Stratford. Hope this helps!

Try Silverman's farm in Easton. Welcome to Silverman's Farm
Just down the Merritt Parkway and up Sport Hill Rd. Kids love the place. They also have orchards and much more. Check out the web site.

Silverman's in Easton & Rich's Ice Cream Farm Oxford in the summer.
