These are brand new and BEAUTIFUL from what I have been told. Kind of expensive though but that is Fairfield County for you. It is in a huge corporate area with many companies not too affected by this economy (Sikorsky to name one). Lots of restaurants. A nice middle class area with some blue collar neighborhoods. I love it along that strip even though it is becoming a little yuppified. What is has going for it is its prime location.

Very cool. I know that floors 10 and higher are real estate condos so I'm wondering if the lower level apartments feature firewalls as well which would also mean virtually zero noise bleed through the walls

I'm going in a few hours for a tour so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Im sure they do, but I don't know for certain. What brings you to Shelton? If you like nightlife and don't feel like driving too far, Danny Os bar (in the pleasantly gritty downtown area) is fun on Thursdays. I went with some of my employees last week and we had a blast.

The developer is Bob Scinto and he is know as building things first class. He mostly builds commercial projects, though he has had a couple of residental ones as well. He throws a big party every year for his tenants which is really nice. I am not sure who is managing the apartments but I would be surprised if they were not considered good. Let us know how they look. Jay

Just got back. I leased a 2br 1bath apartment on the fifth floor. Like everyone said, the building is beauitful and nicely appointed. Everything I could possibly need is within a 1 mile radius, if not less of the building. The floorplan I chose is a bid odd; the living room is at a weird angle and will make having a dining table tight.

We were told there's 7" of concrete between each floor (up and down) with 7+" of insulation and double sheet rock between each apartment (sides) and that they are pretty sound proof, which was my main selling point.

Katie Scinto, the sales women, rushed through the tour and apartment showing however, but I can only imagine how busy she must be; people were dropping in left and right for a tour. I'm extremely happy and excited to move in though.

Are they expensive? Not really considering that the rent includes all of your utilities (gas, water, basic cable, high speed internet, etc) EXCEPT for electric and phone. Personally, I use my cell phone and I was told the average electric bill is between $60-$100. I think these apartments are priced perfectly. They just wanted two months rent security deposit on top of your first month's rent, so that's the only real expensive aspect.

So basically, no wonder they are 95% leased out

One thing that you might want to keep in mind, is that this development was never intended to be held and rented by Scinto. The plan with this building was to sell each unit, at a starting price of 700K+. I would anticipate that building mgmt. will expect your unit to be impeccable at the end of your lease, as they never intended, nor do they desire to, rent these condos. When(if) the market appears to support a sales price that puts the Scinto corp. break-even on their investment, they'll be unloading them.

Fair enough to me. Still my gain as I only need to be here a year while attending graduate school.

I believe Katie is Bob's daughter. Not surprised though because Bob is a very down to earth person. Glad to hear you liked the place. Let us know how it is after you move in. Jay
