No to mention, the TOS says to post only in English. (Yea I know I'm guilty too but it's in response to your post so...)

Con affetto

ah...non fa niente

I do, don't be impressed. Trust me. You just got insulted. (Well maybe not you since you live in FFC but the rest of us "uncultured beasts she has to put up with" did.)

No, I don't think I was insulted at all. Never took it that way.

New Yorkers own summer homes all over CT to escape the city for "country air".

Wonder how many times other posts get twisted because of someones bad day?

I'll have to find the article and post the link. It was a big deal and there was an article in the paper because it was such a dramatic jump from the 2000 census. The percentage went from something like 23% to 40%. It was big news because my daughter attended preschool there from 2004-2006 and her entire class had Italian last names. Perhaps though it was looking at towns of a certain size I'll research. My bad if I misquoted.

Who said I had a bad day? I said it was a long day. But that doesn't change the fact that where *MY* family is from in Italy, such words were usually slung in a demeaning manner. Like I said in my post:
My family comes from a farm community in Italy, and we were looked down upon referred to more than once as "ruralita's" by many of the "elite". Perhaps it's a regional dialect thing going on. (I.E. Someone from the South calling a Northerner "yankee" type thing.) Combined with all of her past posts bashing CT for lack of diversity and "no city life"
So please don't make it out like I had a bad day and went off on someone. That wasn't the case. I'm still not convinced it was innocent.

They don't teach some things in Italian class.
