I doubt you can drive up and check it out. I'm pretty sure people are living their, you can't just go in and look around, it's not a museum.

I feel sorry for anyone living there now, can you imagine what it will be like? People driving up and staring, taking bits of property for souviners, etc.

Probably because people still live in it.

Editing to say that I'm not sure if everyone knows this, but the paranormal couple that investigated the Amityville Horror, Loraine and Ed Warren, are from Monroe, Ct. Loraine still lives in Monroe, but Ed passed away a few years ago.

Lotsa haunted things in CT if you go looking. The Warrens used to put on shows at local venues & give tours of their house too. That said I dont think CT needs any publicity. Its still a pretty nice place to live.
I live in Norwalk & they folmed for a few movies here the last few years. The bottom line is it sucks if you live near where they are going to shoot. Hollywood can stay in Cali as far as I'm concerned.
