Relocating 4 a new job in New London-Best area to live??
Hello there,
I'm looking to relocate to the New London area for my new job (Lawrence & Memorial Hospital) What is the best place to live for a single mom with two young sons? I'm used to the suburban living and would like to have a safe place for us to continue our love for the outdoors and sports. Also looking for a good school system as both of my sons have IEP's (learning plans). Im looking to rent in a complex with a monthly payment up to $2100.
Thanks Much For Your Help

Montville has excellent schools, is a nice quiet town and is maybe 15 mins from the hospital. also, Quaker Hill and Waterford are nice towns and are a bit closer to NL. as far as complexes, it looks like most in the area are in Norwich and NL itself.

i realize that - just misspoke. tried to edit it but couldn't.
which brings up another issue..
why can you only edit a post within an hour after posting it?

I lived my whole life in Groton....our children all went thru the public school system here...it's a nice town with typical "less than average" areas..but then every town has these...including Quaker Hill....Montville....no area goes untouched..but each town has it's distinct advantages to working at L & M...relatively easy access....rents I cant speak for as I own my home...but I'm sure there are living quarters available in every town nearby!
