Default conservative jewish CT community close to manhattan?

Can someone please tell me where there is a conservative Jewish community in Connecticut with a good public school district that is close enough for me to commute to Manhattan on a daily basis? thanks
we are thinking about looking to buy a home, thanks.

How long of a commute can you tolerate and how much is your budget? To commute into Manhattan means living in southwestern Connecticut which is pretty pricey. Greenwich is the closest town to Manhattan and it does have a Jewish population. The only thing is Greenwich is pretty pricey as are the other upscale towns that are commutable to New York. I know Westport has a very active Jewish community but it is further from the city and is pricey as well. I hope this helps. Jay

Greenwich has a sizable Jewish population but I don't think it dominates. The town is very diverse. It is conservative though. Good luck

Westport has a sizeable Jewish population, but it's one of the most left-wing towns in the state (if not the most liberal). So if you're really intent on being in a town with a conservative political climate, this might not be the best choice. I think Fairfield might suit your needs - a bit more of a conservative town with a small Jewish population. Excellent schools as well. It's just over an hour into Manhattan but the real estate prices are more reasonable here.

Are you looking strictly in Fairfield County? Because there's a few towns in Westchester and Rockland Counties that might be worth a look. I don't live there so I can't really comment on the towns themselves - but I know for a fact that Rockland County has the largest Jewish concentration in the nation. And truth be told, Fairfield County isn't as conservative as it used to be. Its presence is still felt but it's changing.

Are you talking about conservative politics, or Conservative Judaism? I assume you mean the former, but maybe not.

It sounded to me like he wanted a place with a conservative temple. Not conservative politics.

Look into Rockland County, NY on the other side of the metro area.
