Orange and Woodbridge have a decent sized Chinese and Japanese population.

Are you looking in any particular part of the state? I can tell you that West Hartford has the largest Asian population in Hartford County, particularly in the Elmwood section (which is in the SE part of town). I believe it's mostly Korean and Chinese but I don't know for sure, so please don't quote me on that. Other towns in the county with smaller Asian population include Newington (which also shares a border with Hartford), Simsbury and Farmington.
If you're looking elsewhere I can tell you New Haven is likely to have a sizeable Asian population. If you're looking in Fairfield County I imagine the cities - particularly Stamford and Norwalk - would be more diverse. If you're looking for specifics, this website does provide a breakdown of various ethnic groups by race.
Hope that helps a little bit

Probably in the New London area. Places like Norwich, Niantic, Montville, and Ledyard probably have their share of casino employees, of which many are asian. I don't think you'll find a noticeable influence anywhere in the state though.

Is that more associated with NY/NJ...I mean, heavier Asian influence...?
or even MA?

Asians tend to like to center around the bigger metro areas like New York, Chicago, and even Boston where they can find jobs easier. Since Stanford is part of metro NYC, it can make sense for it to have a sizable Asian population though perhaps not big enough to support a Chinatown or Indiatown.
