I just realized how expensive it is to move. I mean, the physical moving. I just need to move 1queen bed, 2 nightstands and about 10-15 boxes and it looks like a its gonna cost me at least 900 for a mover. Its even that much to rent a uhal and hitch my car to it. (pt cruiser).

You can get a cheap bed at Ikea in New Haven. I'm not saying it will comfortable , but it will be cheap. Mine was, in fact, the far lousiest bed I have ever slept in, but it beat the air matress I had previously.

Ditto Ikea. You can get a mattress for $80-150 and a cheapo frame if you need one...it'll work as a temporary solution for a few months. Sadly I have been sleeping on my Ikea mattress for almost 2 years now, but it's better than an air mattress or a futon!

Yeah, I slept in our 'temporary' Ikea bed for 3.5 years-we thought it'd be 6 months! I was so thrilled when we went to Puritan and bought a 'real' bed and bedroom set last fall, after we realized we'd not be moving out of state. Anyhow, a couple soft comforters under the mattress pad helped the Ikea bed, some.
