Default Email for kids

My six year old daughter is very intrigued and curious about the internet. She knows and understands that having access to the internet is something different from just using a PC. I would like to introduce her to the net, but fear exposure to unnecessary and adult sites. How can I restrict her access to specific sites of her interest?

Personally I would NEVER allow a 6 year old unsupervised use of the internet. I would be standing behind them the whole time they are using it and only if it's needed for school etc. Also regarding your title there is no reason for a 6 year old to be emailing anyone period. IMHO.

Find some educational games instead and allow her to play those on the computer to get used to the keys, typing etc. It's MUCH safer.

This should be posted on another board, not CT. Try parenting Forum.

One of my close friend recently availed services of Kids Email | Safe Mail for Children for his eleven year old son. Kidsemail.com enables safe internet access for kids, without them stumbling upon forbidden sites with adult content. You can check out the site for details and all the features they are offering.
