Answer me this. Why were they in Hartford to buy the drugs and didn't just get it in Glastonbury? Exactly!
Edit: Lets get a little more real here:
FBI Crime Stats: Crime Rates 1-10 Higher Being Worse
New Canaan: Violent Crime 1 Property Crime 1
Bridgeport: Violent Crime 8 Property Crime 6
United States: Violent Crime 3 Property Crime 3
Glastonbury: Violent Crime 1 Property Crime 3
Hartford: Violent Crime 8 Property Crime 8
United States: Violent Crime 3 Property Crime 3
Go ahead and try to explain it away.

And the point is what exactly?? The other thread proves that New Canaan hides their crime.
Plus none of this erases the fact the Glastonbury had a very real drug problem.

Actually, he is a she. If we ignore her, she won't have a reason to post.

For those in denial of the abuse of drugs in Glastonbury:
Quote:
Glastonbury police said arrests have been made which could slow down a growing heroin trade in town.
Rob DeCarolis, 25, was taken into police custody Tuesday while wearing a shirt that read "Authorized Dealer," police said. DeCarolis is accused of selling heroin to an undercover officer in the parking lot of the Hale Farms Condominium Complex.
Hours earlier, investigators arrested David Flattery, 20, and Diana Pais, 19. The pair is accused of selling heroin to an undercover officer in the parking lot of a Burger King.
"Well, it's our estimation that these 200 bags would be about a day's or so supply of heroin to this area. As such, we are committed to going after the dealers who were bringing the supply into the town of Glastonbury, fueling to some degree burglaries and other crimes," Sgt. Rich McKeon of the Glastonbury Police Department said.
Police said between the three arrests, $1,800, a digital scale, and nearly 200 bags of heroin were confiscated.

I'll trust the words of the local police department.

Being very selective, aren't we?
To add:
I lived in New Canaan for a few years and it is nothing like you describe (I graduated HS there). If anything, the cops are hard on the teens. More is expected out of kids who come from money, and many of the NC cops are from working class towns in New York and upper Fairfield County.

There is a growing heroin problem in Connecticut and the northeast in general. It has been on the rise for the past couple of years and is said to only get worse. So yes, kids are going to use heroin in Glastonbury, but they are and will be using it everywhere else too.

I recently moved to Brooklyn, NY from Glastonbury where I had been living for the last 12 years with my husband and 2 young children (age 3 and 5). I loved living in town for the library, activities, parks, farms, and stores that it had to offer. I've meet many friendly people while out and about (especially long time residents of the town), however, many of the other parents my age tended to be "snobby" and not interested in even starting conversations with anyone except those people who were in their circle of friends. When I first moved to town I never thought that I would ever want to leave, but with the emergence of all the McMansions, I found the town lost a bit of its charming character.

Not to give the wrong impression of Glastonbury, there are many wonderful and friendly people in town that have young children. It tended to be the parents of children in my son’s preschool and soccer classes that were unfriendly and competitive compared to the one’s I had meet at the playgrounds, library, and the local pond.
