Default Fair Haven

ARE there any nice, safe walkable neighborhoods in Fair Haven? Rents are so cheap and we need to downsize. Any thoughts on that area is appreciated.

I would not recommend living in this area. It's one of NH's worst along with Newhalville. Thisis where most of the city's shootings take place. There might be a street here or there in that 'hood that's safe and been cleaned up, but the area overall is not good. It's not worth the risk if you value your safety. There's another nearby area known as Fairhaven Heights, where the housing stock is more diverse and it's a bit more stable, but I'd carefully look at this area before moving there.

It is that bad? Does anyone know how southeast end of West Haven is near Yale Bowl and 34 freeway? We have to find a place in 3 weeks. Can ANYONE recommend?
