Question Black Hair Care in CT
I just relocated from Atlanta and LOVED my hair stylist! I went to a full service salon and spa called Nseya which was the BEST! I have been in West Haven for about 5 weeks and keep getting sent to Dominican shops. That is too much heat for my hair and I don't wait! If anyone could recommend a nice SALON not shop where the sylists are EXCELLENT and if you have an appt. at 9 they see you at 9, that would be GREAT! If you know of one that is full service that is even better. I don't mind paying or driving for the right place.

Jo Bruno in New Haven is fabulous. They specialize in curly hair and it is a typical full service salon. www.jobrunohair.com

I looked at the Jo Bruno website. Do they specialize in African-American hair care?

I did go to a spa in Orange called GlamSpa. It was nice for waxing. They used two different types depending on the area. Very clean, nice and professional. I am sure they can do your back...

I went to a hair salon called Agenda in Hamden. It was an okay salon. They used almost every relaxer known to man. The style was just okay but the maintanence was there. The stylist, Barry, did take me out from under the hair dryer before my hair was dry and tried to start using a flat iron. I had to point out TWICE that it was still wet so he used a blow dryer. It was quick and I didn't have to wait at all. This can serve for a well....

They actually keep your appt and when they say 9 they mean 9. This is a salon that deals with hair care as well as hair styles.

The ethnicity of the stylist doesn't concern me as long as the specialize in African-American hair.
