Default help finding a rental/rent to buy or owner finance?!

ok were in bridgeport right now, renting in a 3 family home and were slowly loosing our minds...
the area is NOT a problem...
its the house itself, weve had leaks for the past 3 months and now have no hot water, im not allowed to vacume or shower wihtout calling for landlord permission first because one fo them works nights and it disturbs their sleep *blinks*

lease is ready for renewal in august and i dont want to renew here.

so ive been scouring and cant find anythign doable.

we want something SINGLE family, nothing fancy or huge, but instead some kind of SMALL house, co-op, town house cottage, heck, even a trailer...

wed prefer to buy but dont have a down payment, so looking at either a long term single family rental, with potetnal buy later option, owner financing ect.

and we either want to stay in bridgeport (theres so many bridgeport horror stories but quite honestly its nowhere neer as bad as the town i grew up in...)
Or milford...we saw one in milford we fell in love with but turned out it was only a 6 month rental (they wanted it back for the summer *sigh*)
wed LOVE to relocate to milford as its easier on the other halfs commute.

unfortunatly i got laid off and because of that we need to stay under $850 a month right now.
to make it even harder were looking for a dog frinedly rental with 2 bedrooms and would prefer close to the water...

its feeling hopeless, i cant stay in this house, but if we cant find something in our range movings just not going to happen.
i am set that it has to be a single family or a townhouse/co-op style single family, terrace ect, im sick of having someone living above and below us.

any ideas on where to start woudl be awesome...
im scouring craigslist daily right now...but its not realy getting me anywhere, and ive no idea how to go about finding properties being rented privatly ect.

HELP!

You can check on realtor.com or with a local realtor for rental listings rented through an agent. Though just be sure your credit is up to snuff as the rentals goind through an agent always do credit checks.

If I were in your situation I would be more worried about staying within my budget then being close to the water...

Default Try posting

If you are just looking at Craigslist, you could also try posting on the Housing Wanted section for whatever area you seek.

Craigslist ads must usually must be renewed regularly, often weekly, depending on ad type. This means you should check your 'account' (it is FREE) regularly to see if it is still active. Also it doesn't hurt to delete and repost such an ad to keep it near the active days.
