Just looking for a few opinions we may be moving to waterbury and how do you think the commute to Farmington would be at about 7 am and 4:30 back to waterbury?

Waterbury is about 20 miles from Farmington which would take about 30 minutes. Depending on where in Waterbury you live and where in Farmington you work, the commute should not be too bad. Jay

most likely it would be town plot to the health center, i don't anticipate it being that bad either.
Thanks

Town Plot is the best area in waterbury. It is largely greek and italian and is graced by parks and restaurants. Kennedy High School, which is probably the best high school in Waterbury, is located in town plot.
If you live toward the northern part of the neighborhood, you will live close to the onramp thats associated with exit 18. Have you considered looking at homes in the East end, maybe close to exit 25? you will miss out on all of the inner city traffic..

if i'm not mistaken, waterbury is the only city of the cts 5 major cities that didn't raise taxes this year. But u might wanna look into Bristol. Very similar to Waterbury (except noticibly smaller) and probably a better commute.

Bristol prices are pretty low. I can see how southington and unionville may be out of a price range.
But I would say there are very affordable homes in Bristol though not all would be as cheap as waterbury..
