J&A'sMOM is on a distinguished road
Quite a few shoppers at Westport Stop and Shop use the reusable shopping bags like Whole Foods had already been doing for years - and also at a lot of other stores. Also a lot Westport sales people in other stores ask if you even want a bag for small purchases and if you say no they say "Thank you". When I run into a store for something small I usually don't use a bag any more.

Not that it has bugged me, but I always think what a waste it is when the cashiers at CVS and Walgreens put a Hershey bar or a box of toothpaste in a big plastic bag. Not...necessary! I always say I don't need a bag if I can throw it in my purse!
