Default Wilton vs. Greenwich?

We are planning a move to CT and are interested in Greenwich for its proximity to the city. Friends of ours are in Wilton though and rave about it, so we wanted to get some other perspectives on the two. Some basic reactions to the towns would be greatly appreciated as we know close to nothing about either. Thank you

Both towns are excellent choices. Greenwich is probably considered to be a bit more desirable since it is closer to New York and one of the most prestigious towns in the country. It is a bit more urban in character and will allow you easy access to beaches which inland Wilton will not. To me wilton is a bit more suburban in character and a bit more low key (though not by much). It is really personal judgement which is better for you. Jay
