Default local tax rate in west haven, ct; affordable rent within 30 minute drive to west haven, ct

I am researching the basic essentials of West Haven and surrounding areas prior to a job offer. What is the local tax rate in West haven? What is the tax rate if different in New Haven county? What additional taxes will I incur?Specifically, where are the cheapest and safe areas to rent within a 30 minute commute to the 100 block of Boston Post Road?

What do you mean by local tax rate? If you are renting, you will not paay any local taxes unless you own a car and then you will pay a local property tax on that. You will also pay state income tax but everyone who lives in CT pays that. Jay
