Should Cheshire be on the list? Absolutely. Should Simsbury? Absolutely. East Lyme? Absolutely. But, Tolland, Somers, and Trumbull?! I couldn't help but feel a bit surprised. I mean, they are fine enough towns, safe, good schools, etc., etc. BUT TOLLAND, 27th BEST IN THE NATION!? Come on! (Just saying, and hopefully not shooting myself in the foot)

As I recall, it wasn't that long ago that Danbury and Newtown (2005) made similar lists. Fame is fleeting.

You all knew this would be coming...

Danielson would never be on the list since it's not a town. It's a part of Killingly.

I know Rich Lee will comment on Cheshire sometime soon.
Well...I wouldn't want to disappoint you. By the way, I've been taking quite a bit of Benadryl to get over a sting from a Bald-faced hornet on Saturday.

I can see how Cheshire would be on the list since it's within commuting distance to Hartford, New Haven, and Shelton. Plus, there's a variety of housing ranging from Ranches on small lots in established neighborhoods to larger Colonials on more acreage either in subdivisions or on their own. There are also many condo complexes whose décor is in keeping with the town.

Of course, the prices are a bit more than our neighboring towns'.

I'm not surprised by Simsbury, Cheshire, East Lyme, and Trumbull. All great towns.

A little surprised by Somers, the prison town. No matter how beautiful the town is, I would never want to live in a town where hardened criminals are considered residents.

Tolland? It's a small town with not much to do. Although, if you like the quiet life away from the hustle and bustle it may be perfect. To each your own, I guess..
