Early next week I will be visiting the city with my girlfriend and I would like to show her what I can of Connecticut without a car. So the plan is to go from Grand Central to a few of the stops. My question is.. How far (on foot) is the train station to the downtown area of SONO, and that little shopping area of westport - has the starbucks/gap right by the water?
I know the train stop is only a few streets away from the little strip of stores and restaurants in Fairfield, so as of now that is the only one I know I will be able to show her.
The SoNo station is right around the corner from Main St where the storefronts are, so you'd be close to it. It might involve a walk for a few minutes, but it's there.
Westport I'm not so sure of, though. But I'd be surprised if it isn't located within the downtown area, since that's where most of the other stations are located in Fairfield County.
Thanks! Sounds like I should be able to get to them pretty easily!
