Default Commuting from Waterbury to NYC

Does any one know what the best way to commute from WaterBuRY to NYC. May be any carpools. Thanks in Advance

I don't know of any, but that is an insane commute!! It will take you at least 2 hours...

Alot of people in Waterbury do it. Usually people use Metro North, but that service is down until August 4th. You can also take the Peter Pan bus from the waterbury bus station to NYC

Check with Rideworks or Easy Street for ride shares. There are many and you should be able to join one. Jay

All the way to NYC? I guess it's the local equivalent of those NYC commuters from the Poconos doing it for the low housing prices. When my wife worked in Norwalk a few years back she knew a few coworkers who commuted to there from Waterbury for that reason, but while still a long commute, nothing like Waterbury to Manhattan.......

If you have to use public transportation you can drive to New Haven and then take the train to grand central.
Another alternative is driving to Brewster, NY, then catching the train to grand central. Total commute time for both options between 2 to 2.5 hours.
