Default Tell me about Brookfield

My husband is considering a position in Brookfield, but I'm concerned it may be too expensive for us. We'd like to be able to rent a small house w/yard. Suggestions for surrounding areas for living in would be great too.

There's not really much to rent from in Broofield. You might be able to find something over in the Candlewood Shores lake community for maybe around $1500. Sometimes there are condos to rent in the few condo communities that are in Brookfield.

"Expensive" is a relative term. I do not consider the Danbury area to be expensive in comparison to other areas near New York City. As noted it may be hard to find a rental in Brookfield itself but there are many very nice communities nearby that you could consider. I would suggest New Milford which is located to the north. It has a nice little downtown area and some very lovely neighborhoods you could check out. Danbury has a lot of nice ones too. Good luck, Jay

Brookfield (and points north and east like New Milford and Bethel) are actually where it starts to get cheaper. The super-expensive parts of CT are lower Fairfield county from Greenwich to Westport.
