Default Will you please pray for Chris Dodd?

He said he now has prostate cancer, but he's still going to run for re-election. What a fighter!

Sorry to hear this. This though is not usually a problem if it is caught early. Jay

I feel bad, certainly. However, one must question this in its entirety. I read an article about his diagnosis, which stated that his doctors found the cancer in JUNE. Why is it now (tomorrow is August) that he decides to make the announcement? Perhaps to diffuse his most recent scandal which is being investigated by the Ethics Commission? Or to increase his poll numbers by way of sympathy? I truly am sorry though for his diagnosis. Cancer is no joke. However, one must be wary...

Considering all of the smoke that he's been blowing out of his backside all these years, i'm surprised it didn't develop sooner. I do wish him a full recovery though.

Okay, no one else will say it so
The guy is such an opportunist for his own agenda, he'll resort to ANYTHING and stop at NOTHING to benefit himself.

I'm sorry he is sick - really I am...Buuuuut I have a pretty sneaky feeling he's got a very good prognosis at beating this, yet is using it to his own advantage to gain sympathy from those who lost it when the reality of who he is came forth.
"I feel fine; I'm going to be fine. We caught this early," he said at a news conference in Hartford with his wife, Jackie Clegg Dodd.

I'll pray for him alright. I'll pray that he loses the election so he can focus on his health instead.

My thoughts will be with Mr Dodd, but I was semi-sickened that as he discussed his illness, he immediately tied in his health-care proposal. Now I feel for anyone who has cancer, including Dodd, but this was in very bad taste. Can't say I'm surprised.
