Default Cheshire Housing and Area Info

After looking at neighbourhood towns, we have decided to look for housing in Cheshire. Can some please provide information on what parts of Cheshire are desirable? Any detailed information on different neighbourhoods in Cheshire would be helpful. We would prefer a community feel rather than an isolated house on a large acrage lot. Thanks in advance.

"Neighborhoods considered desirable" is purely subjective. I, for one, wanted an isolated house on a large acreage lot vs. what you describe. To each, his own.

You would most likely find that neighborhood feel in the south-end of Cheshire or in one of the newer subdivisions. Without knowing your price range and house specifics (newer/older; Ranch vs. Colonial; etc.), it's difficult to make suggestions.

Rich, Thank you for the response. Our price range is 350-400K. We would prefer a newer house only if it is in a good neighbourhood with good resale value but are open to older houses....We prefer a colonial.

There are currently 174 single-family properties on the market in Cheshire. Of those, 27 are in the $350,000 - $400,000 price range with 15 being Colonials. The "good resale value" is one of those off-limits topics for agents.

Im guessing in your price range you wont find tons of new houses if any at all in Cheshire as it is pricey. To be honest there aren't really any bad areas of town, I would look wherever you can find homes in your price range.
