Funny you asked that, I looked up Whole Foods yesterday and they listed a Milford location... I don't live anywhere near there, I just assumed it was open.

That place still isn't open? They have been fooling everyone with their sign now for months!

Interestingly this is what happened when they opened the Glastonbury store. It sat vacant for a while and then they came in and installed all the equipment and stocked all the shelves in a few weeks. Have there been any ads in the area newspapers indicating job openings yet? That was the key to when they started finishing off the store. I would guess that they will want to be opened before Thanksgiving. That is the busiest food shopping time of the year and most food retailers will do anything to be open for it. Jay

It has been sitting vacant since last year, and little to no work seems to be getting done inside as of last month. Their sign is along the Post Rd. and is lit up at night. That's pretty frustrating, especially since all of the other stores in the plaza are open for business.

For those interested, it may be worthwhile to email Whole Foods and complain. I agree that it is frustrating and confusing to have a vacant building with a sign that is lit a night. Maybe they do not realize the sign is lit and will cover it until they are ready to open the store. They also may be able to give you a schedule for their new store opening. Jay

I had also heard that they were advertising for job openings recently, although I can't remember where I heard it.

Reason: 'heard' and 'saw' are two completely different senses!
