Default Locations within Redding

My family and I will be moving to CT from an overseas assignment where I will be working in Stamford. We are familiar with and love the rural private setting that Redding provides. As far as real estate is concerned are there any locations within Redding that are preferred or have an advantage?

Redding is a beautiful rural town that is very desirable. A lot of the town is reservoir for Bridgeport's water supply. There really are no bad parts of town. A home may be less desirable because it is located on a very busy road or next to a business. Even then, there is not much of that in Redding. Jay

There is very little. Georgetown is a small mill village that straddles the Wilton/Redding town line in the southwest corner of town. There are some businesses there and a somewhat large mill complex that is proposed to be converted into a mixed use development. Route 7 weaves in and out of town on the western border so some of the businesses along it are in Redding. There also is a restaurant on Black Rock Turnpike and maybe a gas station. That is about all. Overall it is a pretty rural town in character. Jay

The only issues i found in Redding were to make sure the train doesn't go through your back yard. Otherwise, it's all gorgeous!
