Tubing Dow the Farmington River
Has anyone done this?
I wanted to do something fun with the kids before school starts next week and this looks fairly inexpensive and fun. They're teens so doing something where we all spend time together can be a little challenging.

My kids have done it and thought it was fun. Also check out Brownstone Park in Portland. They have zip lines, cliffs and other activities. My kids really love it there. Jay

I went there a couple of times with the youth group at my church in high school and we all had a great time. Just make sure that it isn't a cool day when you go otherwise you will probably be cold and not really enjoy it.

I loved doing that, did it several times in high school/early college. The best day to go is one that is nice and warm, but not too sunny--I have gone down the river when it was cloudy and cool and everyone shivered their way through, and also on a hot sunny day where everyone ended up with a sunburn on their fronts.

Lots of fun, especially after a good rain when the water level is up and flowing faster. Even my parents have done it.

I did it twice. Pretty fun actually. I saw one dood with a 12 pack and he polished them off. Funny thing is i never once saw him paddle over the the bank of the river to pee. Hmm wonder where he went ")

What's a "dood?" Does that rhyme with "hood?"

I did it once and we had a great time. Best to go on a warm day, as the water can be pretty cold. Have fun!

It is a great time. Watch your bum on the rocks :-) I got nailed on one rock a few years ago and it was pretty painful!
