They are both nice towns.
Both are rural in nature with many farms etc. There isn't tons to do IN either of those towns but Enfield is nearby with a mall and shopping, restaurants etc. I would say Suffield has better highway access as Somers tends to be a bit more remote.
Housing prices between the two are pretty similiar.
Schools in both towns are good as well, so you have no problem there.
Where would you be commuting to?
Both have a nice friendly family atmosphere as well. As far as taxes go it would depend on what type of house you wanted to buy. But just remember that the towns with better schools tend to have decent sized taxes...
Any other specifics, let me know..

Somers is home to a major state correctional institution, if that makes any difference. Then again suffield gets planes from Bradley Airport flying over it. Other than these, both are pretty nice towns with a lot to offer. Jay

Coventry ?? Far out there..kind of isolated and not good for commuting to any of the major cities.

Coventry is about 20 miles from Hartford or about a 30 minute drive without traffic which is not too bad. I would not really call it isolated. I-384 ends in neighboring Bolton so access is fairly good IMHO.
In general Coventry is a small (12,000+ residents) quite town. Schools in Coventry are generally good with students performing at about the state average on the Connecticut Mastery and Connecticut Academic Performance Tests. Class sizes though appear to be a bit large. There is not much business or retail in Coventry (there is a supermarket) but Manchester is not too far to get most of what you will need. What else would you like to know? Jay
