Default Tolland and Taxes

Can anyone offer any insight.

My buddy is looking at some towns in that area.

Should Tolland be avoided tax wise?
Seems like a great town.

Thanks

Tolland is well raved from what I've read. But I'd imagine it's more expensive than nearby areas. The further east you go, the less you'd pay. But you'd end up in the middle of the woods though. Past Tolland it gets VERY rural.

Is it worth the premium in comparison to the other areas?

I can attest to high taxes,we bought in Vernon. We are movimg back because of age and family.
We are limited financially,so we bought foreclosure. The home is 24 X 30,702 sq ft with 2br on 2nd floor. The home itself o'k,garage has to be replaced ground up,deck around home decrepit undoublably this way when assessed in 2006 at $173,000 probably not appealed then.Taxes are $3700,this home in pristine condition could not be sold for more than $135-$140,000 yet under Ct law this cannot be appealed, sorry situation created by state.
We are moving from Florida and by law homes have to be adjusted by market,my assessed value dropped $12500.Ct no question very heavily taxed state.

What about Tolland?

3700 is pretty cheap.
