Default Closet towns to NYC

I'm considering moving to CT from NJ and wanted to know if anyone can recommend some towns with a decent commute via the train and diversity.

Thanks in advance.

All of the towns listed above are pricey. Norwalk and Stmaford are the most reasonable but are really cities with some urban issues. The remaining towns are some of the priciest communities in the country but are also wonderful. You do not indicate price or provide any information on what type of community you are looking for. More information would help. Jay

As the posters above mention, some more info would be helpful. Specifically
1. What is the maximum commute you are willing to do?
2. What is your price range?
3. Do you want to live someplace with more of a city, town or country feel?
4. What is your housing budget and what do you want to get for that budget?
5. What kind of diversity are you looking for (economic, racial, religious)? Are you looking for diversity or for tolerance of others?
