Default Brooklawn section of B-po

Can anyone tell me about a specific area in Bridgeport (Brooklawn section). It's Norman Street (north of North Ave), near Wade Street. I belelive it's close to Beechwood Park.

My hubby works in NYC and we are looking at a home in this neighborhood. We have a baby- but will sell before she hit school age. Any info on this street/ area would be appreciated!

hello, i live in brooklawn between north and capital and know the area you are talking about. i believe there are a few two family houses in that section, which include a deli, karate school, chinese resturant and corner store. my children walk to the store all the time and i do not worry. i live on laurel and have been there for almost 5 years. it's very quiet and ppl appear to take pride in their homes. having lived in different parts of the city for 19 years, i can say brooklawn is one of the better areas.

take care and g/l!

This area is generally a nice one. Older homes along tree lined streets. Can be very nice. Beechwood Park is located on the other side of Park Avenue but wold be a short walk from this location. Jay

I live in Fairfield, very close to the Brooklawn section of Bridgeport. I really like the Brooklawn section. There are some really nice homes there. Just be sure to stay on the north side of North Avenue, preferably a few blocks up.

Brooklawn is nice, but like everywhere. Lock your cars when you park for the night, as I don't remember seeing to many garages on that side of town. Anyway, nice older homes, with character. If your into rehabbing real estate you can probably find a real gem.
