I don't feel that way about where I live, personally. I don't think my town is the greatest down in the world - just the greatest town for ME. That's why I moved here and live here now. That's probably what prompts a number of people to live where they do.

I'll stick with Bill Maher, thank you.
I guess you see what you want to see then. I see truth and reality for the most part vs "in the tank" reporting and ignoring on the main stream networks.

As for Maher - Now THAT has to be the most biased, hateful person I've ever watched.

Exactly - and a lot of those people who chose to live where they do will go and tell others that other places suck. Usually based on rumors, perceptions, etc. Thats the point i was trying to get across.

There's a couple of areas in all the bigger cities which have higher crime rates and drug issues. But even the Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Norwalk, Windham, New London, etc... of the state have decent neighborhoods.

Connecticut doesn't even really have any *entire* town or city where it's completely worth avoiding. Much of New England is the same way, aside for maybe one or two spots in Mass.

I would personally avoid the inner cities. New Haven/Bridgeport, certain parts of Hartford, certain areas of New London (it's not an inner city, but it has it's bad areas.)
