Default Bethel question

I'm moving to Bethel next month and closing early November. Does Bethel have trash pick up & Recycle pick up or do we need to hire a private firm? If private, can anyone make any suggestions?

Also, does the town pick up leaves or is that also private?

You would need to hire your own trash and recyling service. You should get the towns website or call town hall to find out about the leaves, because I'm not sure.

Bethel has a transfer station on rt 53, follow it up past the shelter and industrials under the little railroad bridge and its on the right, you have to get a permit from the town hall to use it but its not expensive and VERY cheap compared to hiring a private firm.

bethel does do curbside leaf/garden pickup on certain dates, again the town hall will have all the information on those dates too.

its a very cute and quaint little town, weve been here for 8 yrs now and it has alot of charm!
my parents love it here...
be warned however this area (and fairfield county in general) can be quite expensive, without knowing where your comming from you might want to prepare for a little sticker shock.
