Default Baptist or Christian Churches

Hello all-

We recently moved to Hamden and would like to go to a church with a mixture of people (white, black, hispanic, indian, etc.) We've been to a few and we were the only minority couple there. We're looking for Diversity.
Churches in Hamden or New Haven only.

Thank you.

Good day,

You no doubt have tried Olivet Baptist Church on Whitney in Hamden. Many years ago, when I was purchasing my first house, I noticed that the homeowner had pamphlets on the end tables for Olivet. When I told her that I was also Baptist, she mentioned that I should give it a try. She then went on to proudly describe the congregation which was anything but diverse! I was a little shocked since my experience in Pawling and Wingdale (New York) was the opposite.

I have recently veered away from Northern (or American) Baptist and now consider myself non-denominational. (I hope that my mother isn't reading this.)

Good luck and God bless.
