Folks,

Happy Holidays!!
I am moving to Connecticut on the 1st of new year.. I will be driving from Bradley to Glastonbury late in the evening. With the predicted snow and the amount of baggage i have (8 large + 4 small + laptop bag et al and add to that no great experience driving in snow)... i was wondering how to avoid multiple trips between airport and glastonbury...
Is anybody aware of a shuttle service etc which will help me get all my baggages in one go to my apartment..
Thanks,

You might be able to get a cab at the airport to take extra luggage. If you are renting a car at the airport you could try to get a larger vehicle to hold everything. As for the weather, the roads are pretty well maintained even during storms. Unless your flight comes in right at the height of the storm, you should not have too much of a problem. Jay

Or better yet, rent a large SUV if possible, then the snow is less of an issue (ice, on the other hand....)

Aren't you limited to 3 bags on the airplane, even if you pay the extra fees!?!?

Yes, 3 bags is the most you can check, and you can carry two personal items onboard (laptop bag, purse, small suitcase that can fit in the overhead bin, etc).

Actually the storm is going to be a lot less than they first thought. Tonight's weather on Channel 3 said a couple of inches and it will be over in the morning. I would not worry about it by the evening drive it should be clear, at least that is what it sounded like. Jay
