Commuter train service is offered by Metro North Railroad's New Haven Line. The schedule is on their web site. There are two staions that serve Darien. They are Darien (in the town's central business district) and Noroton Heights which serves the western part of town. You could also use stations in downtown Stamford or Rowayton (Which is the eastern section of Norwalk, the town to the east of Darien). Parking is probably the biggest concern, since it is limited and very well used at all the stations along the New Haven Line. Hope this helps. Jay

Thank you so much for the info. I have never been to the USA, so excuse my ignorance, but is this train line safe?

This train is traveled by thousands of people everyday (you definitely will not be alone on it). Many are VERY wealthy business people. If it was not safe and efficient they would not be using it. Grand Central Terminal is located at the intersection of 42nd Street and Park Avenue. Jay
