There is a possiblilty it could get nasty in the NorthEast (including CT) Thursday afternoon. I'm not liking what models are showing. Classic squall line. Damaging winds, thunderstorm and rain. Keep your ears open... Still got 6 days.
Forecasts right now calling for just 'general' thunderstorms in our area (sw ct) Wonder if it will stay like that.

that is really sad what's going on down there....I love the change of seasons especially from winter to spring, but that is horrible. Guess we cant complain over having some ice dam leaks in our homes this past February.

All the years following weather I've never felt so sick.. The images we're seeing is movie like and I dont recommend anyone looking at them for a long period of time.

My hat goes off for the weather media and those following for holding it together. I know some were on the verge of breakdown and maybe some did.

It's not just one area...it's 16 states that had a Tornado this month.

On average we get 163 Tornados in April, we've gotten over 700 reports so most likely over 300 will be confirmed as tornadoes. Including one in NY.

April 27th is the worst outbreak since I been alive.

What's different today from the big outbreaks of 1974 and 1965 (just a little kid for the first one, not born yet for the second so I don't remember either) is the power of YouTube and the Internet in general. Even 10 or 15 years ago we wouldn't be seeing the amazing and fear-inducing "during the storm" images we see now, just the horrific aftermath.

Blizzard warnings for North Dakota right now. Whiteout conditions, zero visibilty, 6-12 inches of snow to fall tonight.

Snowflakes could fall in NY/CT in 5 days. Adk mountains and elevations above 2000 feet for sure..

I know there's cooler weather this week (they're even showing 50s for highs and near 40 for low in NYC!), but I doubt any part of CT is getting snow. Adirondacks I believe though.
