I was wandering if anyone knew of a candlepin bowling alley in Connecticut. My wife and I moved here from Maine and grew up this kind of bowling and would like to find a place to go. Thanks in advance!

There is one in Cheshire, CT called Highland Lanes.
There is one in Waterford, CT called Family Bowl

and Johnson Lanes in Hamden, CT Johnson's Duckpin Lanes

Those are the only three that I personally know of.

Duckpin is more common in this state. I think Candlepin is found mostly near Canada.

Not sure where you are in CT, fxtrader, but if it's still there, Lucky Strike Lanes was a duckpin alley on route 32 heading east in Mansfield Center a few miles before Willimantic, right after the Mansfield Drive-In. I haven't lived in the area for years, but remember going there when I was a kid.

how close are you to Worcester Mass? there used to be lanes up there. i know because there used to be a small independent station up there that broadcast candlepin matches between local bowlers. it was hosted by a guy name Bob Fouracre. There was another one from Boston hosted by popular sportscaster Don Gillis.

if that won't work, here's a link that might be helpful..

There are duckpin alleys in Manchester and Newington. I am sure there is a candlepin somewhere in the area but off hand I can't think of where. Jay

There are some in the Springfield (MA) area too, if that would be closer. I am definitely not an expert on bowling in Connecticut!

There's some right across the state line in Webster (off 395) and in Southbridge (about six miles off I-84)
