Like I said, I've only driven through CT and know nothing of the state. We're coming from MA. I have a lot of research to do.

Cluemein - Greenwich is located in the southwest corner of the state and Tolland is in the northeastern part of it. Greenwich is a very pricey upscale suburb of New York City. $1 million does not buy you much here. It is considered one of the most prestegous towns in the entire country. It has excellent schools, a very nice but pricey downtown and a lot of wonderful amenties including libraries, parks and beaches.

Tolland is a growing somewhat rural suburb of Hartford located on the eastern edge of the Hartford metropolitian area. It has very nice homes and good schools and home prices are reasonable. Not sure what you are looking for or where you need to be, but you have come to the right place to help figure that out. Jay

there are a lot of nice towns in CT. Fairfield county is too expensive for most folks as are shoreline properties. Glastonbury is nice. Wethersfield. Rocky Hill. There are a lot of nice towns.

CT is sooo diverse it really depends on where your job is if you want an opinion on what areas are "best" to live and commute.

Some smaller, quainter towns are Plymouth, wolcott, Thomaston, Burlington/Harwinton. The smaller residential towns offer access to the Magnet Schools which are government funded and offer the best education available as well as agricultural and technical schools! I am originally from Edison, NJ and graduated in Washington, NJ. I am now a licensed agent in Connecticut and live in the town of Plymouth. My children are 16, 13 and 4 and are all very active in 3 different schools and I understand how important it is to give children the best education possible and have looked into most of the options. If I can help you in any way, please let me know.
