Hi-
I have been looking to buy a condo in stamford area close to the train station. I have looked quite a few condos in past few weeks. I found a new construction condo in glenbrook area 88 maple tree ave. which i think is walkable to the glenbrook station.
Do anyone have idea how this area is? The condo complex is nice and it has pretty much everything I wanted but all the listing for that community are on the market for more than a year. That worries me before making a decision. I dont get it.
Thanks

sorry to respond to a very old thread, but did you end up buying in maple tree ave, stamford?

Stamford residents, I have the same question. most of the condos listed on maple tree ave are more than 200 days on market. Is the area good? anyone who owns/rents close to that area? would like to know opinions and suggestions about this area.

Edit: the listings are on the market for years not just 200 days. Some of them are removed after not being sold for months.

Stamford is not a condo town. Don't buy as an investment, but as a residence. Any buyer should be able to negotiate a great price. Glenbrook is a small village trying to reinvent itself on the outskirts of a boomtown. With some success. One of the best restaurants in town, Olio, is there. Too bad the State Theatre shuttered. But that metro train station makes the location very appealing.

Thank you. One of the other concerns is the train tracks are right next to maple tree ave. Thanks for mentioning the train station.

I agree condos are lot tough to sell but these on maple st aren't selling. That's my concern. Will look at other communities or SFH. Thanks again!
