My family and I are looking for a church that has child care during services and preferably services on more than 1 or 2 days a week because our schedules are always changing.

We attended Calvary Chapel In FL that is a non-denominational evangelical church. They are considered a teaching church because they go line by line and verse by verse. We would like to find something like that but are open to a denominational church too.

Any suggestions???

That's a tough one and we are in similar shoes. I prefer a more "teaching" church but only the more charismatic churches here seem to have multiple services.

I think you would like Trinity Covenant on Hackmatack street.

Trinity Covenant Church

But they only have two services on Sunday.

We go to Church Of The Living God and while not fundemental in it's "ways", it's not totally flakey either. Yes they sing and clap and sometimes you'll see a "banner" being waved etc but you generally won't find people rolling around on the floor like they got hit with a cattle prod and the pastor is very grounded.

Church of the Living God - Home

They have three services on Sunday and one on Wednesday so it gives some options. We are happy there and it's worth a visit if anything.

Crossroads Community Cathedral on the Manchester/E Hartford line is where we used to go but IMHO for us, the direction of the church took a left turn and it's starting to get a little flaked out and money centered. That may have changed over the last several years but that was our experience.

There is also First Baptist that was "okay" last I visited but they only have a morning and evening on Sunday.

My mother attends Avery Street Christian Reformed Church in South Windsor and it's a more fundemental church and I like it myself - however, only one Sunday service.

If you are into the smaller "community" type church Faith Baptist near Shady Glenn is pastored by a great young guy Seth Johnson and they are fundemental all around. Problem - only two services on Sunday.

Faith Baptist Church

The church I attended for years and miss dearly was Wintonbury Baptist in Bloomfield. The pastor Rich Ainsworth was schooled under Chuck Swindoll of "Insight For Living" and the Dallas Theological Seminary. Fundemental Teaching, "alive" worship, great people.

Wintonbury

It was just too far for us to drive too on a regular basis because it's on the "otherside" of Bloomfield and took up to 45 minutes sometimes.

That should get you started, if you need any more specifics feel free to ask or DM.

Good luck.
