When a listing is entered into the Statewide MLS, there are two questions to be answered: one is for realtor.com which defaults to "Yes," and the other is for competitors' web sites. We are encouraged to answer "Yes" to that as well. In essence, realtor.com mimics the MLS which mimics individual realty's sites.

Another great site to look at b/c it shows a map is raveis.com You can map out the area and also request rentals only. It's my favorite for CT

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Another question: can someone recommend a good, trustworthy auto mechanic in the region for performing inspections? I'm thinking of buying used cars instead of new ones.

Hi ClearTheCobwebs

We are a family from europe just relocated to Old Greenwich 10 days ago and I'm just curious to know how you are doing here in Greenwich? Did you find a good daycare (we need to find a place for our 20 month old son too) and what about nanny/aupair? And at least - what about social life?

Thanks in advance
Tina

Yes - we need a morning/noon program for our son and a nanny to take care of both our children two or three afternoons a week and occasionally in the weekends :-)

Default any demand for Nanny landlord?

I wonder how many working couples are open to the idea of renting a house from a landlord who can also be your nanny?

I would use an agency to hire a nanny...they will prescreen and do backround checks before they come to you for an interview.
