Hi, do the Glastonbury schools offer special programs for academically gifted kids? How do these compare with the Simsbury or Avon schools?

There are programs for gifted children in Glastonbury but I do not know what they are since my kids are not in them. There are advanced classes in certain subjects (math, science, english) that I believe start in 6th grade.

As for the quality of school programs, Glastonbury is comparable to Avon and Simsbury. It is often considered one of the top districts in greater Hartford and in the state overall. Check the web sites below for more specific information:
